Recipe: Berry frozen yoghurt

During our March/April 2017 issue, all NZ subscribers (new, current and renewing) will be in the draw to win one of two Vitamix Professional Series 750, valued at $1595 each. The below recipe is an example of something delicious the winners will be able to create.

INGREDIENTS

360 ml (1½ cups) vanilla yoghurt
1 tablespoon honey
280 g (2 cups) frozen blueberries
420 g (3 cups) frozen strawberries

METHOD

Add ingredients in the order listed, and secure lid.

Start Vitamix machine at Variable 1, and slowly increase to your machine’s highest speed.

Use the tamper to press the ingredients toward the blades.

After about a minute, you’ll notice quadrants forming in the container. Stop the machine.

Place mixture in the freezer for 30 minutes, and serve.

TIPS

Thaw frozen fruit for about 10 minutes while you gather other ingredients. This will help create a silky texture in the finished dish.

We’ve used blueberries, strawberries, and a little honey for sweetness, but you can personalise this basic froyo recipe with your favourite berries and toppings.

This recipe has been written for the C-Series and G-Series machines with Variable Speed control and 2.0-litre container. If you are using a different Vitamix machine or container size, you may need to make adjustments to the Variable Speed, processing time, and/or ingredient quantities.
